At age 18 months I was diagnosed with spastic cerebral palsy. At the time, doctors weren’t sure if this was purely physical, or if there was a mental component as well. They weren’t sure if I would ever ride a bicycle or drive a car.

I went on to excel through grade school and graduate high school as class valedictorian. I was once again valedictorian of my graduating university class. After completing my undergraduate I went on to receive an MSc and PhD in atmospheric science.

Currently I work as Senior Meteorologist at Dynasty Power Inc. in Calgary, Alberta. I travel the world solo on my vacations and the past 4 summers I have cycled between 2000 km and 4000 km each summer.

I enjoy being an educator and inspiring others with my story!
